Sunday Night Summary

This little boy turned 6 months old on Friday!

The Day the Ladybugs Came...
This week at school there were swarms of ladybugs! So much that I took my class out to see them and they couldn't even walk without squishing ladybugs. It was awesome, but we got a little bit of heebie-jeebies after they started landing in our hair and on our faces. The kids were sooo cute though, they loved it and caught as many bugs as they could carry. We had to do a ladybug check at the door when we came back in. Then I gave them paper to write about the experience. It's AMAZING how well they write when there is something to talk about! This little lady found her way inside the classroom.

These cutie pies spent the evening on Saturday night playing in the backyard.

For Mother's Day my beautiful family took me on a picnic to the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Refuge. We drove through the auto tour and saw lots of ducks, egrets, red-winged black birds and heard lots of bird songs. I remembered to take the binoculars, but did not remember the bird book. Erin had a turn with the binoculars, but would only look out of them backwards and was thrilled that she could see a chair (the back of the seat in front of her). When Kate and Erin started arguing over the binoculars, we made them get out and run behind the car. It was a great day!

This is a cinnamon teal duck. I think.

Only 5 weeks of school left! 25 days. Not that I'm counting...
And I was totally kidding about making the girls run behind the car.

  3. I just saw this post today. Hilarious, once again. I totally didn't think you were kidding about Kate and Erin running behind the car...thought it sounded like a pretty good solution if you ask me! LOL. And yes, Christopher is so adorable. Thanks for having us over to swim today! I can't wait to see the big baby next to lil' baby pictures!
