Lately this Dr. Seuss quote has been running through my head:
How did it get so late so soon?
It's night before it's afternoon.
December is here before it's June.
My goodness how the time has flewn.
How did it get so late so soon?
I think this is the theme of our life right now. Every week is zipping by. I haven't blogged in forever. Christopher is 6 months old tomorrow. Kate is 5 weeks away from the end of kindergarten (already?!). Erin is, well, still a clown. I can see summer vacation on the horizon. I need to clean the clutter, the house, my car, my classroom... I need to make a list of my lists so I can find all the lists I need to make one big list. But I can't find my lists. So I'll start a new one. Or two. Am I making a list now?
Here's a picture that represents our daily crazy:
This is the doorway between the kitchen and livingroom. It's about 4 feet wide. We all stepped over these ponies probably 800 times tonight, going back and forth to and from the bathroom, up and down the stairs from the bedrooms to the kitchen. NO ONE STOPPED TO PICK UP THE PONIES. No one kicked them out of the way. No one was made to clean up their mess. The ponies still stand there at attention, wishing someone would feed them or brush their pretty pony hair.
Goodnight, ponies. Sweet dreams. We'll step over you a hundred more times in the morning, and maybe someone will stop to play with you again when time slows down.
Yay, you're back, I've missed you! Time is going by crazy fast! I love the Little ponies lined up, Maddie gave all of hers to her niece so it's good while it lasts. I walk over lego men and dirty clothes mostly.:)
