Hair

This was the first time I straightened Kate's hair. She looks so grown up (she's eight)! And Erin's hair is crazy because it just came out of a french braid but kind of looks straight. So funny just thinking about the hair wars that are to come... Hopefully they'll love their hair for what it is, but I doubt it.

Mother's Day!

Mother's day was awesome. Started with Kate bringing me breakfast in bed. Josh even had no idea that she was going to do it. She made two frozen waffles, topped with chocolate chips and red sprinkles shaped like hearts and lips. She is such a great kid.

My amazing husband spent about 3 hours, or more, detailing my car inside and out. Oh, boy did it need it!!

This afternoon in the car Erin said she'd better roll up the windows until Mommy's allergies are gone.  The conversation went like this:

E: Mom? What are you allergic to?
M: Trees, I think.
E: How?
M: Well, there is pollen that comes off the trees and flies through the air, especially with the wind blowing. And that makes my eyes itchy.
E: I think I'm allergic to pink.
M: Pink trees?
E: No, just pink.
Christopher: I'm allergic to green.
